Laila & Majnun's BOHO Fresh Boutique was founded in 2014 by Jannah Rasul, artisan and owner. After a popular brand merged with a larger company and discontinued production of the only commercial skin creams and body butters that soothed her mild skin disorders and aided in the prevention of future outbreaks, Jannah decided to take matters into her own hands- literally. She began to research the chemical make-up of commercial bath and body products vs. non-commercial products which utilized natural ingredients. As she studied, Jannah began to handcraft products for her own personal use that incorporated the earthly ingredients she encountered. After seeing the actual benefits and positive effects these wordly concoctions had on her mind, body, and overall spirit, Jannah felt a strong intrinsic need to share her creations with others and Laila & Majnun's BOHO Fresh Boutique was born!

As a Cuban/Jamaican/Afrikan-American 80's baby raised in Sunni Islamic culture in the world-renowned Bronx borough of New York City, Jannah desired to incorporate her uniquely diverse background into her entrepreneurial endeavors. "The S.ugar H.oney I.ced Tea." ("The S.H.I.T."), "DOPE", and "Moorizm" lines are a fusion of her both her hip-hop and multicultural roots. With that said, keep in mind that she's "an artist and [she's] sensitive about her S.H.I.T...." (pun intended)- Erykah Badu, Tyrone.

The mission of Laila & Majnun's BOHO Fresh Boutique is to enhance one's quality of life through the pleasurable experience of luxurious bath and body care. Our vision is to use our natural artisanal talents to provide a necessary service to all of humanity. All of our products are handmade with care and contain only the finest natural, earthly ingredients which add therapeutic, aromatic, moisturizing, nourishing, antibacterial, anti-aging, and exfoliating properties to name a few. 

A further goal of Laila & Majnun is to give back to the less fortunate. Confucius taught us to "study the past if you would define the future," and the prophetic Buddah said to "teach this...truth to all...a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity." In lieu of this, our company is built on a philanthropic philosophy that stresses the importance of taking one's natural gifts and giving back to whence you came so proceeds from our profits will be used to assist in a variety of charitable causes.
